Among the ones we only got to be informed was a massive attack launched by the Peoples liberation army of NCP(Mb) in Palpa.

Palpa lies some 400 kilometres west of kathmandu, as heart of the once cluttered Nepal was some time back a strong nation in its own stand.

Tansen, the capital of the district is a tuff hill I once got awarded for being able to get my bike climb the stiff roads that lead to city centre.

At around 11:00 pm on 31st January possibly when King Gyanendra was sipping up expensive scotch and grabbing some wild bore meat. The attack was launched by more than 3,000 troupes that had travelled the way in through neighbouring districts. The forces climbed in to houses surrounding the old palace areas and started firing. "They jumped and climbed walls like monkeys", a woman stated.

Yes this was for sure a guerilla war the king was experiencing, the fast and shuttle moves due to which only 8 comrades from the forces were martyred. The king's army was killed in a massive number although numbers were stated to be around 11 by the government we all know its fake.

With an attack so large that ripped off one of the most hustling towns in western Nepal, 11 can definately not be the number.

As promised by the NCP(mb)'s latest strategies, the whole of western zones and quite some in the east have been well struck in the past one month. Yes they have proved that the country is in their hands. Statements by the king calling them to be minute incidents dont quite matter. Do they?

"For Democracy" is a Volunteer based open forum to fight anarchy in Nepal. New Baneshwore, kalanki ad Pulchowk were the first areas to protest massively, and the whole city followed.

The police showing their incompetence and and arrogance time and again did things that were against the Nepalese laws. Broke into the gates of Pulchowk campus, while the campus chief stayed in his cabinet making sure his heater was on.

A student from Shankardev was shot with a tear gas shell in his cheek that got him admitted in the hospital. While rumors of the police also using rubber bullets were widely spread, it might not have been true.

At 2 pm sharp leaders of the seven parties gathered at Basantapur making sure their statements revealing the palace’s filthiness was revealed time and again.
People’s massive support to the instant meet that gathered there was something the nation could be counting on in the days to come.

Similar protests against anarchy and autocracy were observed in Dhading as the district remained closed, Bharatpur was all tense, Butwal, Biratnagar and Pokhara.

The people have stood up now to make sure our fight is not just there to be there, it will out throw the king for sure. The incident came across as the villagers raised their hands on the soldier tempting to sexually abuse the girls in the “mela”. The army office in its statement stated that the soldier later killed himself with the same gun.

Did he or did he not? Many believe there were dozen more casually dressed soldiers around the premise loaded with guns, and the soldier was killed by the captain of his recruitment. Has this story once again come across as a reminder to the royal palace scandal? Definitely not this time the anarchist army has raised its arms on the people themselves and we will not bear what is happening here. We want a republic and no more killing of the people. For Democracy strongly opposes the Royal Nepal army, every act it does and the whole structure as a whole. This incident has only made our desire to freedom from the anarchist stronger.

As a reaction to the mass murder, a day long strike with many protest programs have been designed in Kathmandu today. For Democracy will take part in all these programs and make sure you are able to be part of it all by reading and viewing the pictures.

Kathmandu also watched a mass assembly of people pulled in by the agitating seven parties here in New Baneswore yesterday. What came across as rallies from different parts of the city ended in the street of New Baneswore.

The leaders strongly presented their statements on they not being moved anywhere from our fight for a republic. Having said it many times that they will not be affected by what are being commented by different countries, the fight definitely seems strong.

Let’s see where they head, but our fight should not get any weaker. We got to commit ourselves for a republic and nothing else.

This is our fight for our freedom, let’s not waste it.

Mass meet through our lens.

"For Democracy" is a Volunteer based open forum to fight anarchy in Nepal. Does Nepal have a key/leader to adopt into a new system with stronger people’s preference? A republic is here to come for sure, just start counting your clock and its here. But what after that? Do we have a key that can lead Nepal any further?

We are not pointing out that a democratic exercise will not lead us anywhere further, but saying that we need to start seeking for people who can struggle to commit oneself for a republican system.

For Democracy thus announces with this blog the initiation of its forth coming project “Where’s my key” a documentary that will ask the people if we actually have solutions. If you have a solution write to us. We will like to feature people like you in our documentary as the keys of tomorrow. Erasing the general belief that Nepal does not possess leaders for tomorrow.

We also call upon people interested in similar projects to join us as volunteers.

Be here, we are searching for people who believe, it might just get interesting.

What's happening tomorrow?

Indian foreign secretary, Shyam saran (one of the strongest person in Indian bureaucracy) is meeting Madhav Kumar Nepal in Ktm. tomorrow. The story behind the celebration is the one of the gods winning over the devils. A hindu celebration basically, its wide spread popularity has by now made it the main festival of the citizens.

However open the people have got towards being least choosy on the festivals they celebrate, the constitution does not do so in Nepal. One of the first lines written in the constitution still stays “Nepal, a hindu nation…”. Ensuring all other people realize Dashain is a hindu celebration, and the hindus care of it the most, a two day long religious lecturing is on its way at the national stadium which will see Shree Kripulaji Maharaj, a strong hindu maharaj from India. Kathmandu has gone so fanatic on the arrival of this fellow that gates numbering in over 50 have been made all over the city. This kind of respond was possibly not given on the arrival of Prince Charles in Nepal.

In any ways, the hindu fanatism will go ahead for the upcoming thirteen days until Dashain ends, during which Brahmins worship their gods the whole day and the others sacrifice animals for god ensuring they get the richer part of the meat.

King Gyanendra has been described in hindu manuscripts as the supreme god Bishnu himself. Therefore this is in other way also a festival of hailing and supporting the king which is done through the following of hindu attitudes.

For democracy would like to request all Nepalese fellows of democracy to ensure we celebrate the festival for ourselves and not to support any rootless hindu attitude or customs.

May this Dashain bring home strength to all of us to fight inequality and injustice in the country.

Pic of the DAY

Pencil Speaks

"For Democracy" is a Volunteer based open forum to fight anarchy in Nepal. Walking past one of the kid standing on the quo to salute him, deliberately assuring the cameras would focus on what he would point on next, made it sure it was “Hail King Gyanendra”, and made the kid read out what was written.

Three years and a day before today, the king using his advantaged power in Nepalese constitution expelled the then prime minister Sher Bd. Deuba allegating him of not being able to hold elections and bring peace. Further playing his assured steps, he brought forward two prime ministers from the post 1991 monarchy ruled Nepal, first Lokendra Bd. Chand and then later on Surya Bd. Thapa. After around one year when both the prime ministers having ruled their terms and unable to bring peace, also seeming to respond to the agitations going on in the street by the political parties, played one of his dirtiest games, showed the poor politicians his power of greed and formed a coalition government between Sher Bd. Deuba (right) and CPN UML(left). Nine months later, making sure the people had enough from the political nominees of theirs also unable to bring what they had promised for(peace), kicked off the government on 1st of February making him the head of the new government. (where did u get that power from)

Nine months later Nepal is no better, rather seems engulfed in denser situations of economic loss with major foreign donors getting least interested in Nepal and large industries, getting shut, partly because of the unstoppable seeming Maoist violence. However as the Maoists called a cease fire and announced all parties to get to the villages to largely announce their fight against monarchy, the king today made a statement saying that he brought a situation like peace in the country with no cease fire still announced by the king’s side.

Where is Nepal heading with the comedian king speaking his ready made dialogues in small villages collecting hand full of easily buyable poor people of this now a least mighty nation. How long will the king go on with this, is it because he understands his last days are near so wants to make sure shall get all from his kingship? Or does he still believe he will be able to collect people who support his rule in the country.

The answer is still a myth, and grows deeper by the day as political parties still seem intensely interested in arranging programs centred in cities.

Pic of the DAY

"For Democracy" is a Volunteer based open forum to fight anarchy in Nepal. The three days since then are observing the showcase of internationally acclaimed movies made on gun based violence from around the world, the space is called Barrel of the gun and is going on in Kumari Cinema.

As we sat there watching "Lanka…" we were taken traveling to a world totally unknown but yet so close as we saw houses molested by bombs and ripped full of bullet holes. As the mother cried for her lost and killed son and the school children walked in a political rally of the LTTE all memories of the people’s war in Nepal we still live with came to a rise.

Hey by the way what’s going on with the Maoists these days? A friend asked me. “They have called a cease fire and are organizing peace based programs in the villages. Much of which will be coming after Tihar and for democracy wishes to get you their glimpses. The one most important thing the Maoists have done however is that they have called upon all parties to go to the villages and speak to their people to fight monarchy in all levels.
The political parties on the other hand seem more stubborn with just sticking to the valley and pulling in thousands of people in the streets here to protest in front of the kings palace.”

Dear political counterparts, this fight will not be won until all levels of the people rise against the king. As mentioned by the crocked king in his interview to BBC “a bunch of people shouting slogans in Kathmandu does not represent the country.” This is the basic and the king is trying to make it his strongest point on sticking to the thrown longer. Until our voices rise from all parts of the country and we have a strong planning which strikes the whole nation at the same time, no change will take place with the king.

This is the last fight for our freedom, and it shall not end like the other ones, if you believe the other past ones have been long, and large human loss bared, this will be longer and more ruthless. But “he didn’t fight to be scared of anything, he neither fought for so that he got praised”, a child speaking in lanka sounded fit here, we fight as many comrades worldwide have been doing, for our freedom.

The struggle has only begun, the matches have only hit the surface, its long before they start burning. But if we act today and don’t wait until the revolution is full fledged will it become a strong revolution with similar bases in the future.
Do all that you think you can, if nothing hi-fi, just talk about the revolution, that too will help the movement.

The title has been taken from the film "lanka..no war no peace", which remembers the slogan shouted by JVP comrades in the late 70’s in srilanka.

Pic of the DAY

"For Democracy" is a Volunteer based open forum to fight anarchy in Nepal. Sir, do you know what an election is or how log it has lasted in any country, to us the longest undemocratic elections were the ones when bush became the president of USA. It was two week long.
The king in his visit to Mahendranagar a month ago by now said to his regional flag carriers "You should go ahead with your plans, there is nothing and nowhere the government can't go." Proving his statement he joined his forces of the whole far west region into some hilly districts like Surkhet, stayed there (possibly had a deer killed) and spoke to the national television saying " we should not fight like husband and wife, if we cant bring together something we shall break it."

His son Paras, who is the wisest man in Nepal might be the only person understanding a king speaking such cheap languages like that, however King, if you can go anywhere and you say you are still a democratic nation how come your elections will take three years.
Is it the time my nations flag carrier(two new ones being bought from china, with one free) would take to carry my countries all money and rhinos out for you?

Nepal is not a land of fools, we are silent well of course but not fool enough not to see and speak against what is going on. No people of this country will be cheated with your crocked steps of the elections, we have only one demand and that is we wish to stay free from you and your shah dynasty for ever. A republican is the only demand we fight and shall rest upon.

"For Democracy" is a Volunteer based open forum to fight anarchy in Nepal. So folks please stop talking about sovereignty when you yourself prefer licking the shoes of those westerns when they give you money.
This attitude of chamchagiri or opportunism has to change in the Nepalese context, and it is also one of the issues "for democracy" is fighting against. Our movement will extend also after we achieve democracy/republic, as our fight is with anarchy of any kind be it the king's or the powerful's.

Just as to explain what we have been trying to pint out here, over 60% of what we the Nepalese use is Multi national Company products, most of the income of which goes to the USA. Bush might be seeming to be the biggest donor to Nepal (Military aids), but he everyday takes millions worth of money counting every bottle of coke/pepsi and every jeans a Nepali buys for Dashain.

Parishad folks this is a Globalised world where money and power are the two things that rule. Nepal cannot and will not go against the treaties the country has signed regarding democracy and war. But it is, as a result Nepal is being questioned by countries which run the nation, which is just obvious. Don't you irritate your son asking where he kept the 2 rupees from the 5 you had given him to buy cigarattees.

This time around however it is not just about cigarettes or money alone it is about the freedom of the people, of the very illiterate Nepalese people to whom your crocked king is acting HERO.

Voices for Nepal don't just need to come from foreign lands, Nepalese are aware of what's happening and we fight our war against monarchy in our way. So you Parishad folks if time is the matter you guys are loaded with watch the star plus daytime soaps and kill it. Stop talking of our freedom or our wishes when the jacket you guys wear when shouting them have been bought either by the foreign aids or our sincere taxes.

Nepal is a democratic nation and if it is not which we believe it is not we fight to make it one. Any barbarian who wishes to lick the dirty shoes of the king might do so, but will not be spared by the population.

Pics of the DAY

"For Democracy" is a Volunteer based open forum to fight anarchy in Nepal. The perfect person we hope to be working with. So felt we should write on why we are fighting this fight.

We request all youths to ask this to ourselves as we might not be all clear on what the answer is as we might have different views o the struggle. The core however has to be the same for a fight to be won.

13 prime ministers, only three elections, and billions of money wasted in various corrupt manners, is what we suffered with in the last 15 years of so called democracy.
We are back again fighting with people who were pointed at and raised questions on during this short little over a decade period. Are they the ones we wish to fight with and win the war for?

Are we fighting so that same old Girija babu can loot even more money for his daughter, or for Madhav Nepal or anyone else?

Do we think the answer is yes?
Friends if that is what we think please change it, as we are fighting for ourselves, for our freedom, we are fighting for a system we call democracy. A system which will have corruption, corrupt leaders, a garbaged country, but the one thing we will have no matter what shall be strong powers held by the people to change, and change what we believe is incompetent. This is what we are fighting for.

The horizon we are to reach is far- far away from a Republic itself, but it will be the first start to what we might call initiations for change.

Lets sing, lets paint, lets act, lets shout and lets do every that thing the king wouldn't have thought we are capable of doing. Tomorrow will wait but only if we ensure our victory with our strong unity today.

We are calling upon members for the Revolutionary music club, which plans to make new songs for the public speaking of the revolution. Since then however many things have taken into happening in the country. At a civil society gathering arranged at Kirtipur today, revolutionary songs were sang by legendary singers Ramesh and his gang.

A beautiful drama was performed where the actors prefered to show us their emotions wiothout words, but the familiarity of the cowardness was so common by that just about everyone understood everything that was happening before it was even played.

We are however concerned with the fact that once again old people from past episodes of revolution have had to stand up to bring to us sings that promise a freedom. Youths rise up, hosw your talents, lets make new songs that wake the peoples senes, that will in the overrun make a change for republic. The Revolutionary music club announces youths to become members if you believe you have a potentiality introduce new songs, the club will support any such potentialities.

The most inspiring thing to see however was songs being played in Chahbahil chowk and a huge crowd listening to it. That was yesterday. This is the only way our movement can go further, folks lets join hands for better concepts than the old ones. This is our revolution and lets turn it out our way.

For Democracy would also like to announce that it will soon organise a series of revolutionary films from the international scenario, and welcome the government to uphold our acts. We do not care about a parliament that is full of power loving people ready to be puppets of any bourgeoisie in the world.

Monarchy is all but a countdown in Nepal, we do not want any agreements made that uphold our rights further, the nation has to and will fight until we have a republican this time along. Political parties will either be a part of it or not, it does not quite matter.

This 2005 youths make history as we shall act for a republican democracy, friends lets unite if you believe a betrayal portrayed as democracy will lead you nowhere.

Be a member of the revolutionary music club to share international alternative music.

"For Democracy" is a Volunteer based open forum to fight anarchy in Nepal. The star is as we call him the King.

Putting all he has in this game of destiny and power, the king yesterday walked along the streets to show we revolutionaries that he is more powerful than our want to freedom.

Let us tell you now why we think he did that, The King is afraid, afraid of the fact that he is soon going to loose all he has, the most important reason for the king to be sticking in the countries chief thrown and only visiting various places making sure he is more popular.
This time around however the scared king also wanted the people of Kathmandu to be on his side without the support of whom he knows the pro democratic struggle going on in the capital will not succeed. Thus he pointed at Lalitpur the biggest of the three local settlements in kathmandu, where people have since long been supporters of the king.
The programs held by youths fighting external interferance and hailing the king(we wrote about yesterday) was also held here.

These latest day movements takes us to a point where upon, we are sure that the king is desperately scared of the voices raising all over, the reason why he is playimg within the valley now. We have won the first part of our revolution, we have created our stand in the eyes of the king.

He could be coming to your house some day soon hugging your mom(which he loves doing) or patting your doggy, and we advise you to be sure to watch him, he is but the biggest stupid star of the 21st century born in Nepal.
Hail the king Gyanendra for being so foolish, a thief, a killer, and a war criminal.

Become a member of For Democracy if you think alike. After observing thousands of students walking in that crouching heat talking how beautiful the girl in front looked in the TIGHT school trousers, we came to a definite point that the students present neither understood their need there or what crap the activists were talking about.

The only difference seen in the students between the two was that yesterday they were pulled in from Government schools where as today they were from private ENGLISH schools. And the other might have been that the ones present yesterday were only girls, so there was more titaura and waiwai rather than the tight ass gaze.

This is how people calling themselves big players, are using youths. The cases are not just from these two days; youths have always been seen even by leading political parties as their combats to fight the police or oppositions in elections.

Kathmandu observes a wide screen of youth culture followed, which is definitely, not mainstream and the concept to life is fun and living life to the fullest. Does this however in anyways hamper or refract us from the basic concept of our own freedom? Is this what we are all about? Following orders and tracing the tracks of how youths played their roles in earlier revolutions? The mainstreams want you to sit and smoke all your life, for them we are junks and this allows them to rise, make self-fame with our freedom. Our rights are being smashed and this time along by ourselves as we despite being different are doing what others want from us, making the wanted mistake of not speaking.

If this is not what you think of your life, act now start planning your revolution for freedom, become a part of the For Democracy initiation. Our initiations this time will be remembered in history but only if we act.

Become a member of the Revolution Music club , to share free tracks from International alternative music scene.

Pics of the DAY

"For Democracy" is a Volunteer based open forum to fight anarchy in Nepal. We gave a sudden thought to the kings move and thought may be it was also because the peoples radio stations had got so famous the national radio service was getting unnoticed in the crowd. Perhaps the 20 years old "Yo samay Muna Chiya ko ho" is no more exciting, or the Ghatana ra Bichar is all about what ministers had to say about the king.

In any ways, the king made a lame move censoring media for nearly two months, which included all media means. The voices of the people was tried to be suppressed, but it didn't work, Radio's did broadcast news even from the roads and at last we get what we have are bits of our news.

For Democracy is a free forum fighting for media rights believing a free press is the first step to development in any country. We would like to inform all friends of ours that the forum is starting a Revolution music club with this article. If you think revolutionary music is an essential tool for the people to understand their rights, or if you simply like the beats of change, you could be a member of the group, through which we shall be sharing national and international music.

We also invite any international friend who has a strong collection of such music to be a part of our move.

For Democracy is also seeking youths interested in doing radio reporting for our radio podcast section which will be a major section of our website under progress.

1st of September is civilians day to protest monarchy, under the organization of SAP Nepal a rally will begin 10 am from TinKune this day. Please be there to give change a chance.

Our designs can be borrowed as wallpapers, if you like them write to us.

Pic of the DAY

"For Democracy" is a Volunteer based open forum to fight anarchy in Nepal. The newspaper stated yesterday that around five vehicles were looted in Sunsari(Eastern Nepal) and today stated three buses to have been looted by dacoits in Banke(Mid western region). Both the incidents took place across the East West highway which is the main highway stretching across the country with around 200 security checkpoints all over.

Another news byte also interested us that around 80 teachers were taken by the maoists to a program of theirs from Biratnagar, the second largest city in Nepal. I guess this sounds much better. The king is advised to keep an ear to the ground before making lame interviews which in this case happened to support our revolution.
We thank you for this advertisement as more of our fellow brothers from all parts of the country will rise to make sure you have failed.
The next time however please don’t dare make a lame crap of making your presence sound important.

The Shah kings have long gone become history of Nepal, what’s left are the old scripts we no more want, soon they will be burnt. King Gyanendra is the first paper to that script.

Dear fellow youths, please unite with the wave of revolution that is rising all over the world to fight anarchy, war and hatred. We are born and live a life the way we wish to, no part of us or our land we live in is owned by any country or an imperialist.

Bourgeoisie of the world be aware of the revolution that has raised in Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, India, Nepal and all those countries we know or don’t know. Our quest is simple a world free of tears, without our children dying with bomb shocks, or being buried in earthquakes caused by missiles. A fire no matter how small can burn down a country, it might be Bush or Gyanendra first, and you are to start counting your day’s killers.

Remember youth fellows 21st of September is the day of civilians to protest, save the day for the country.

"For Democracy" is a Volunteer based open forum to fight anarchy in Nepal. If that is how ideas come up in the dingy black kidney of yours, here’s our answer, backing up the revolution in Kathmandu, students protested the king’s presence in Butwal today.

The fire is ignited and this time it’s not Kapilvastus hallahpur where you burnt down people saying they were Maoists. The fire is in our hearts, and they rule our mind constantly saying we need freedom from your ugly smile.

The struggle took similar looks in the capital but as days pass the brutality of the policemen is constantly on an increase. Revolutionaries numbering in over a thousand fought in the street of Bagbazar today from 3:30 p.m. despite the heavy police security laid all over.

Police brutality showed its apex as people were crabbed and dragged along the street to be arrested. The coward policemen didn't leave an excuse either to start raising questions on what the human right activists were doing on the spot. We would like to make a point to all those brother policemen of ours that you my brothers are on the wrong side this time around, so please don't get angry at our will to freedom. We are sure it's the topic you guys talk about in your dormitories. Freedom is not concentrated is for all of us.

Tear gas shells that were fired at a near by school possibly by mistake but at this time we name it as police carelessness resulted in 12 school children fainting.

As our young college friends shouted "Student unity ….Jindabad" we say that's the way to go fellows. For Democracy is all about unity of youths for democracy.

We add our slogans with you:
" Down with imperialism", "No more Monarchy", "Our freedom is our right"

I feel bad naming slogans like these, which were shouted 100 years back in India and hundreds of years back in other western nations. In either cases freedom is at our door and we ought to recognize its form, the similarity political parties have shown in their ideologies is the start to our freedom.

"For Freedom" claps a hand to all those dear friends of ours whom despite the brutality shown by the police fought before being arrested.

NOMORE Maunta Please

As Che' Guevara (23 then) traveled South America to know what he was made for, he realized the dividing force brought in by western bourgeoisie was what had been pushing his belt behind. Speaking in a leprosy hospital in Peru he stated, "Lets fight for us, let's fight for a united America"

More than 50 years later we living in the tip of technological superiority have been pushed back time and again by our own evil force whom we with our very own income taxes give monthly living costs. Have we become so badly struck with the individualistic world, we have no time or mind to spare for our very own freedom?

Fellows, every time you sit down after a bus trip from office and hold your head because you are frustrated due to the tiring jumbled traffic, and every time you come back from a government office don't hesitate saying assholes. That's cause we haven't had the opportunity to fight all that's been going on. And here you have it, your time to fight, fight that's not just against the king or the corrupt government leaders alone, this is a fight you are all hailed for to fight anarchy of all kinds starting from the galli ko gunda to the office ko kale ghuskhor peon. It all starts from your Republic nation.

FIGHT, please FIGHT in all ways you can as this is it, the only time your love for freedom will be see. Neither seto parewa nor the shanty dip in lumbini shall work for what we wish to achieve this time. The demands were as usual for a complete domocratic Republican state.
From seniour leaders to party cadets, all were pulled grabbed and then grabbed before caged in the police vans.
Today, more than thousand revolutionaries were held in custody as many others still protested till journalists protesting police brutality, which also led to a corner assembly where strongly our voiceslate evening in the streets from Ratnapark till Shankardev Campus.
